Birth: She was born on November 22, 1720, to Sir Whitmore Acton (the 4th Baronet) and his wife, Elizabeth Gibbon (who was a relative of the famous historian Edward Gibbon).
Marriage: On March 6, 1760, Mary Acton married the Rev. Samuel Wanley, DD.
The Elmley Lovett Tie: Dr. Samuel Wanley served as the long-term Rector of Elmley Lovett in Worcestershire. Through her marriage to him, Mary became directly embedded in the parish community and the land administration surrounding the rectory and its local estate holdings.
Death: She passed away in February 1776 without issue (meaning she had no surviving children), dying in the exact same month and year as her husband.
